Biography
Marilyn has been painting for the last 32 years. Whether it was as an elementary school teacher with her class, or in the many varied mediums she uses; Marilyn loves a rich palette of color and the play of light on her subjects. She strives to portray the wonderment of children; animals in natural surroundings; transparency of flowers; and the relaxing landscapes of Oregon, Colorado and Arizona.
Marilyn was notably influenced by the artwork of watercolorist-Arleta Pech, pastelist-Richard McKinley and acrylic artist-Carl Seyboldt. She lives with her husband in Southern Oregon, and uses her three grandchildren and the thousands of students she taught over a 37 year teaching career to inspire her artwork.
She has received several recognitions for her work.
