Charles Bragg

American, b. 1931

Biography

Known as one of America’s “foremost social satire artists,” Charles Bragg’s humorous translations of social studies has even the most serious of art aficionados cracking a smile.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1931, Charles Bragg is a multi-faceted artist. Not content to restrict his talents to one artistic medium, Bragg is accomplished as a painter as well as a sculptor. His work in both fields has yielded many awards, including the Gold Medal for the National Society of Illustrators and the Award of Merit from the Art Directors Guild of New York.
